Steps to replicate:
1. Annotate a section.
2. Use ebook-editor to modify the ePub in a way that the annotation highlight is no longer in the correct place. (In my case, I removed a bunch of <p> </p>s from a fanfic).
3. Use "modify this highlight" on the broken annotation.
I would've expected that this would allow me to re-highlight the section without losing my notes. Instead, it just silently failed. I was able to recover by grabbing my notes from the annotation browsers and re-creating it entirely.
