Amazon.co.jp metadata won't download

Japanese meta data from Amazon seems to be broken in the current release. After changing my region in the amazon metadata plugin and restarting it always fails with this error:

calibre, version 4.19.0
エラー: ダウンロード失敗: 1 冊中いくつかの書誌情報や表紙のダウンロードに失敗しました。

知と疑い (失敗した書誌情報) (失敗した表紙)

Which just means that the metadata failed to download a cover.

Calibre 4.19 64bit
Windows 10 64b

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.

I just ran this on the first 3 volumes of a series.

Some of the fetches are now working! However I'm still getting the same type of failure:
