Bug Description

Calibre crashes within about 30 seconds of launch on my MacBook Pro 2015 running macOS Catalina 10.15.5. This is a brand new, clean installation of macOS so I just downloaded the latest version of Calibre today.

The crash information is attached.

That's a crash inside the Qt Cocoa plugin (Qt is the graphics toolkit
calibre uses). There's not a lot I can do about it. Is there something
unusual about your system? Multiple monitors? VoiceOver or other
Asistive technologies? Multiple GPUs or similar?

Thank you for responding. I do have two monitors connected to the MacBook and there are two GPUs. I don't have any assistive technologies enabled. I'll see if it still crashes without the external monitors connected. Thanks!

Qt does tend to have issues with multiple GPUs. Try calibre 5 which has an updated version of Qt (5.15.1).
