Bug Description

When I click on a search result in ebook-viewer in Calibre 4.12, it doesn't scroll to the position of the found text in the e-book nor does it highlight the found text.

Works for me. The only case where it will not work is if the text is
hidden,in which case there should be a little popup message at the
bottom of the search panel telling you that.

It's an intermittent issue for me; the search function works for some EPUBs, but not for others, and for all of them it doesn't highlight the found text. Anyways, I deleted all ~/.config/viewer*, and it works normally now.

Actually, it seems zooming creates the issue. I'm on a high-DPI monitor (196 PPI), and I need to zoom in. But when I'm zoomed in, the highlighted searched text is off the screen.

Also, I'm in flow mode. I don't have any issues in paged mode.

How are you zooming in?? As far as I know the viewer has no zoom in
functionality. And why do you need to zoom in? Just increase the font
size in the viewer settings.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
