Bug Description
Hello,
Starting with macOS Catalina, when I open an EPUB from the Finder, the viewer does not load the book if it is already open. If the viewer isn't open, selecting a book from the Finder works fine.

This is a bug in macOS, you should report it to apple. If you open Console.app and then try to run the second viewer instance vi finder you will get an error -13052 saying that launch services failed to run the viewer. This is almost certainly related to the fact the the viewer/editor are sub bundles inside the main calibre application bundle. Nothing I can do to fix this. Either apple needs to fix it or at least provide an error message that tells us why launching failed.
See for instance https:/ /emacs. stackexchange. com/questions/ 53248/finder- of-macos- catalina- cannot- open-a- file-with- emacs
as another instance of this.
