Bug Description
The text becomes very narrow or disappears when making the window smaller if a max width is set
How to replicate
1. Open book in window that fits to the screen
2. Click on Prefences
3. Click Page layout
4. Change Max. width to 600
5. Make the window smaller

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
