Calibre content server download issues

I’ve recently begin using Calibre’s content server and have noticed a few anomalies regarding the EPUB format:

(1) Clicking the “Download” button appears to automatically attempt to determine a single format to download (EPUB appears to given top priority, followed by remaining e-book formats prioritized alphabetically) and contain no obvious way to select an alternative format. The existing button “Download” could potentially be repurposed to download all formats and/or there could be separate download buttons for each available format.
(2) If an item has only non-ebook formats, “Download” assumes a non-existent EPUB format, whose download subsequently fails. For example, attempting to download item 82532 containing a single format “JPG” yields “http://[ip_address]:[port]/get/EPUB/82532/Calibre_Library”, which fails. Manually altering to “http://[ip_address]:[port]/get/JPG/82532/Calibre_Library” downloads the item’s JPG format as expected.

You can download specific formats by clicking on the individual format.
As for the download button not working with non-ebook formats that will
be fixed in the next release.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
