Bug Description

Version: 3.46.0
OS: Windows

How to reproduce:
1. Go to preferences - look & feel;
2. Press "change icon theme"
3. Close it while it is not fully loaded

Result: application closes.

I dont get a crash with those steps, but I have one found possible
source of crashes in the code, which will be fixed in the next release.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
