Bug Description

The editor window does not remember custom pane widths (for comments, book cover, and identifiers); however, the info dialog does.

Am confused what editor window display comments and other metadata? Can
you post a screenshot?

This is the default metadata editor pane width.

This is the my custom metadata editor pane width, which Calibre doesn't remember (after restarting Calibre).

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
