Bug Description

On clicking the Hide Cover Grid switch in lower-right Layout options, I receive an AttributeError and the program freezes and cannot be interacted with further, but must be shut down from Task Manager.

Error message reads: AttributeError:'builtin_function_or_method' object has no attribute 'lower'

This is actually the first time I've tried to hide the cover grid in probably a year.

Using Calibre 3.40.0 on Windows 10 desktop pc.

I have attached a screenshot of the error message.
