Editing author field aligns window onto title field

Bug Description
A recent update of calibre (I'm not sure which one) generated an annoying new behavior that I hope can be fixed. Whenever I now edit the Author(s) field for a book, the viewer window shifts one column to the left, so that the Author(s) field disappears and the window aligns with the Title field as the leftmost visible column. This means that every single time I edit the Author(s) field, I have to realign the window to make that column visible again. Calibre never used to do this, and I very much hope the new behavior can be eliminated. I'm using calibre 3.34 under Mac OS Mojave 10.14.1. Thanks for your continuing great work on this wonderful program.

with columns for titles and authors? It would help if you could record a
small screencast showing what you mean.
