Bug Description
Every time I open Calibre, it tells me that the database file is corrupted and I have to rebuild my library again as the library is empty. It keeps happening over and over again. It never did this before. What's going on? Is there something I can do? I have over 4,000 books and it's a real pain to keep downloading and rebuilding my library. Please help!!

This will typically happen for any of the following causes:
1) Some program is interfering with calibre.
For example and antivirus program. You can try excluding
the calibre library folder from your antivirus' scans.
2) You have placed your calire library folder in some unsuitable
location. For example a place where it is synced by a file sync program
such as dropbox or onedrive or similar. In this case move your library
folder elsewhere, and you will be fine.
3) The disk the library is placed on is failing, in which case moving
the library to another hard disk should solve the issue.
