Bug Description

Enhancement - Enhancement - Enhancement

I am using version 3.23 (latest version, under Windows 10)

It would it be nice to add few features where the user can customize :

Enhancement #1
- Customize how many users/readers that are sharing the library
       - and be able to customize each user with their names (user 1, user 2, user 3, user 4, etc...)

Enhancement #2
- To show a column (in the grid) of who read that book (The column to show or not, to be determined by the user)
The grid whould show a column (or multiple columns) like: "Read by (user 1's name)", check box field (yes/no column) where this user has already read that book.

This would be used to keep track of who had read what in order to...
- remember what had been read (and by whom)
- not read the same book multiple times or download it to a reader device (like Kobo)

Exemple of custom configuration would be :
How many readers are sharing the library = 2 (minimum/default value to be 1)
Reader 1's name = John
Reader 2's name = Mary

The grid would show (user determine to show or not the column) :
Read by John, Read by Mary Title
     x x Titanic
     x Ramboo
                    x Footloose
                    x What ever interesing book

Please do not hesitate to contact me if more details are needed.

calibre (the main program) is not multi-user, it has no concept of
"users". You can however add as many columns as you like via
Preferences->Add your own columns. A simple authors-like column can
work for this. Call it "Read by" and ask your users to add their names
to it when they are done reading a book.
