list of figures/chapters not showing properly after epub conversion

i have this ebook, you can see how it is suppose to look like when reading in the amazon app, and then when i convert it to epub with calibre it looks like the 2 following screenshots, with only one line per page for the first couple of hundred pages (you can see the epub book has 900! pages when the real book only has about 300.

(this is not an ibooks problem, the same problem with show up when browsing in any ebook reader).

i tested it and the default conversion settings in the latest version of calibre 3.20 still does it, so that is what needs to be fixed.

use the above files to test, and please fix this bug so that i have a epub file that i wont need to use amazon's kindle to read my book that i paid money for.

Your book marks ever paragraph with class="chapter" tell calibre not to
recognize such paragraphs as chapters by using the settings in the
structure detection section of the conversion dialog.

Thank you for your quick reply. I read your reply but I don't know how to apply your solution, I took a look at the conversion button section and did not see anything about class=chapter.

Can you give step by step instructions to change the setting so that the epub will output with the correct formatting?
