Search result do not show on connected device (Kobo)

Bug Description

Starting in 3.17, a number of searches no longer display results on my connected Device (Kobo Aura ONE). This includes all of my saved custom searches, and search by Publisher, search by Rating, Search by Series, Search by Identifier. Also My Shelves.

Search by Author & Tag still displays results on the Device screen.
An example of a simple search that no longer works on a Custom Column titled "Read" that contains the values Yes or No - "#read:"=No""

I run Windows 10 on My PC.

I installed my last update for the KoboTouchExended on December 24/17 and all searches were displaying on connected device post that.

I'm not sure I understand. Searching via custom columns and the like has
only ever worked in the calibre library not on devices. The device view
does not display custom columns and similar metadata, only

On the other hand, I dont use Kobo's so maybe you are refering to
something kobo specific?

I'm with Kovid on this. The only searches that have ever worked on the device list are for the displayed columns. Any time I've had a search in the library list using other columns and changed to the device list, the result would be empty.

Also, in this case, there is no difference between the built-in KoboTouch driver and the KoboTouchExtended driver.
