i downloaded calibre 3.7.0 for my mac and it will not launch

I'm going to need more information than that to be able to help you.
WHat happens when you try to launch it? Open Console.app and see if
anything is printed there when you try to launch it. WHat version of of
macOS are you using? Is there a crash report displayed and if so, what
does it contain?
