Bug Description

Calibre 3.6.0 Ubuntu 16
In previous versions I was able to add a book from a folder and do file operations in the opening file-explorer window ("select book" window, nautilus-based or other), like deleting the previously imported book from the folder.
This possibility is now absent.
If it was possible it would be nice to reallow file operations.
And maybe add an option "Import and delete original file" straightaway?

Not sure what you are asking for. What select book window? You mean the
File chooser dialog? In newer versions, calibre simply uses whatever
file chooser dialog comes from the system. If you want to go back to
using the old non-native file choose dialog, set the

CALIBRE_NO_NATIVE_FILEDIALOGS=1

environment variable. Although, I have to say I'm surprised that your
system file dialog does not allow you to do file operations.

Works when launched from terminal with
CALIBRE_NO_NATIVE_FILEDIALOGS=1 calibre
but I would like to implement it in a configuration file since I start
Calibre with the button - in which file has the command to be copied
(Ubuntu)?

Simply set ti as a system wide environment variable. A quick google will
show you how to set environment variables in Ubuntu
