Bug Description

I use Windows 10 Home Intel I7 3.40Ghz 16.0 GB ram Calibre 3.6, no plugins. Drive C has 111GB free of 237GB, drive holding DB has 1.19TB free of 1.79TB and is mapped to B:. Directory holding data is
I created a new library and imported using 'Add books from directories including sub directories.
The DB has 6034 books with a filter applied on author to show authors with ' in the name which results in 634 books. The directory holds 17,414 files in 10,252 folders and 8.52GB of space, metadata.db is 8.716KB
The error occurs after editing metadata individually and changing the data from just changing Author name to doing a full Metadata download and cover change, can occur when either clicking the OK,Previous or Next buttons, not every time but most times. A second pressing of any of the buttons works correctly.
I have been editing the metadata of the files for about 6 hours and the error occurs randomly under the above circumstances and nothing I do seems to make any difference, it can occur no matter what field is changed.

Random crashes are a sign of some program interfering with calibre.
Unfortunately there is no way to know what that program might be. See
https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq.html#calibre-freezes-crashes-occasionally
for a list of known programs, as well as other things you can do to try
to isolate the problem.
