Bug Description
Version 3.6 on Debian Stretch
running calibre-server with --enable-
gives
$calibredb --with-library=http://
The username/password combination is incorrect
but calibre-server with --enable-
succeeds.
Is this inconsistency intentional?

Works for me. Make sure localhost actually resolves to ::1 or use ::1
directly instead of localhost.
