Generating cover of pdf out of 1st page not working

Bug Description

Generating covers for pdf from the first side of the pdf/ebook is not working. The standard cover (blue ornaments) still remains.
Using latest version 3.1.1

I dont understand what you are saying? What exactly are you trying to

For some pdf the cover in Calibre is not generated automaticly. I am trying to get the calibre cover out of the first page of the pdf.
For this reason I go do the multiedit metadata screen and click the Cover out of ebook button. Work process starts but there is still no cover in calibre.

Attach a PDF file demonstrating/reproducing the problem to this bug report. You can do that by clicking the "Add attachment or patch" link at the bottom of the bug's page. If the file you are attaching is copyrighted, mark the bug as private. You can do this by clicking the tiny yellow icon next to "This report contains Public information" in the top right area of the bug's page.

I messed it up. I have not recognized, that DeDRM was not active. So Calibre was not able to open the pdf.
