Bug Description
I loged into my Ubuntu 16 server using ssh and an xterm.
From this xterm I run the following command;
calibre -v --with-
getting the following error message:
QXcbConnect: Could not connect to display
Aborted (Core Dump)
If I run the same command from an xterm opened in my graphical environment, the command works.
I understand that this command might not be supposed to be used the way I'm trying to use it, so the question is how to start calibre remotely without opening my graphical environment (Xwindos, XCFE, etc.).
Or at least, is there a way to start the web server associated with Calibre without starting Calibre?
thanks, great application.
Luis

calibre can start the web server on its own via `calibre-server`, and in
order to run the GUI, or indeed any piece of software that needs a
display, you will need to use SSH X forwarding.
calibre has a complete command-line interface to everything available in /manual. calibre- ebook.com/ generated/ en/cli- index.html for details.
