communication error with my device

Since 2 months, Calibre e-book can't comunicated with my device (kobo reader). I can sent ebooks (pdf) from calibre to my kobo library but I can't read on calibre tool my virtual library of my kobo reader ( books bought by a supplier).
In french and in english I receive this message :

Update calibre, the version you are running is too old for your device
(which recently changed the version of sqlite it uses ina firmware
update).

 status invalid
