According to that debug output your device is being successfully
detected, so what is going wrong when you are trying to connect
normally? You can run calibre in debug mode (right click Preferences
button and choose Restart in debug mode) and post the debug log after
trying to connect to the device.

@Steve your error has nothing in common witht he original posters, yours is an error talking to the device, usually rebooting botht he device and the computer fixes it. If not your remaining options are:

1) Reset the device
2) Use one of the wireless connection methods described here: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq.html#how-do-i-use-calibre-with-my-android-phone-tablet-or-kindle-fire-hd

@Kovid,
My issue is exactly what the posted title is: "Calibre does not detect Samsun Galaxy Tab S2 on Win10." I apologize if somehow this still ended up in the wrong place.
I've tried wireless and that didn't work either, nor did sending an email from Calibre (tried sending a book) which obviously has nothing to do with the device.
Thank you for the pointers.
