Uploading a png cover image will convert the file to .jpg

Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
- Edit metadata of a book
- Browse the PC after a "cover.png" file
- Accept the new cover changes.
When checking the calibre library, the image is now called "cover.jpg".
Calibre should leave the image as is, and not do any conversions at all.

cover images are stored as jpeg, that is not going to change.
