Bug Description

I am trying to edit an epub book and every time I open it from Calibre I get perhaps one or two edits done, but often none, before it crashes again.

I am using Calibre version 2.65.1 on OSX 10.9.5

Thanks.

It seems to most happen when rearranging chapters (xhtml files) in the file browser.

No, that is debug *device detection*.

What you want is to run the Editor using debug mode. If you have the command-line tools set up properly, you can use `calibre-debug --edit-book` to see the debug output in the terminal (or rather, pipe it to a file).

Whena program crashes in OS X, OS X offers to show a crash report, that is the report I need.

Hi Kovid - sorry for taking so long to reply!

I'm going to try and attach the crash report to this post.

This one happened after I created a new chapter .xhtml file, saved the whole thing (all fine at this point) and then tried to drag the chapter .xhtml file up in the order in the file browser - then it crashed.

Hope this helps?

Thanks.

That's a crash inside Qt the graphics toolkit calibre uses. I notice calls to the OS X accessibility framework in the crash report. In the past there have been instances of accessibility + Qt causing crashes. Do you have any accessibility related technologies turned on in OS X, such as VoiceOver, etc? If so, try turning them off.
