Bug Description

I'm running Calibre 2.50.1 on Windows 10.

I want to export my Calibre data to a backup folder but when I run the export function the process runs for between a few seconds and a couple of minutes and then just closes. When it does I'm left with two unusable files in the new backup folder.

The files are called part-0001.calibre-data & part-0002.calibre-data.

I've tried to open them using Calibre's Import function but they are not shown within the folder.

Hope you can help.

Thanks.

First of all update calibre. Secondly run it in debug mode (right lcick
the preferencs button to tdo that) and post the debug log after the
export fails.

I just want to note that the Import dialog requires you to select the containing folder, not the *.calibre-data files.

Have you tried selecting that folder and importing? There may be nothing wrong except a misunderstanding...
