Calibre 2.53 and several earlier versions
Ubuntu 15.10 latest and earlier updates
Toshiba Satellite A300, Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00GHz × 2, Gallium 0.4 on AMD RV635 (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.6.2)
I do not know if the problem is in Calibre or Ubuntu.
At some unknown date, maybe a month or two ago, Calibre began acting funny on certain operations. When opening the Edit Metadata, Save to Disc, or Convert books, using the touchpad on the Toshiba, the menu 'shimmers' After positioning the cursor over the desired function, and either tapping or left clicking, the function does not work. The keyboard shortcut does work, where there is one.
Other calibre functions appear to work perfectly.
