Tolino shine 2 HD is not recognized as a device

When connecting the "Tolino shine 2 HD" device to my PC calibre does not recognize it as an e-reader. Therefore I cannot send ebooks to it and synchronize my library. More information about the device (in German) can be found at: http://www.thalia.de/shop/tolino-shine-2-hd-ebook-reader/show/

Thanks Kovid and sorry for the incomplete information. Here are detail information about the device:

Compatible filetypes: ePUB, PDF, TXT; Adobe DRM is supported
Path to books folder: tolino/Books ; "tolino" is the name of the device and "Books" the specific folder that contains all ebooks.

I attached the debug output (with device plugged in/out) as well as user defined device information (USB Vendor ID ..)

You are using a outdated version of calibre, update and your device will
be detected. Uninstall the ubuntu provided calibre, and install the
official calibre from http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux
