Plucker pdb files fail to load

Bug Description

I have attached a sample file - the error is consistent across many. The files can be opened with other Plucker compatible readers.

Error message:
calibre, version 2.39.0
ERROR: Could not open ebook: unpack requires a string argument of length 2

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every Friday.
