Bug Description

Hello,

would you please consider to add possibility to create duplicate e-book record from existing one? It could work via right click on existing record and selecting "create duplicate".

Sometimes I need to split the existing e-book record as it for example contain books in multiple languages, so it would be faster to duplicate existing ebook record and then just chnage few parametrs, than recreate full record.

Thank you

This does not really work. There just the author copied. Not "all metadata" as the changelog says!!

It works fine. You need to first select the book you want duplicated,
then the add empty book dialog will have a button labeled duplicate
current book

It really work as designed and as explained. Thanx for that.
If I may have some comment anyway.
- if this feature could also copy book formats it would be very nice

- it would be more easy to use, if it could be as right click context menu by clicking the selected book
OR
- in current implementation I did not find a way how to assign it shortcut. I can use shortcut for adding empty book, but then I have to do more clicks then should be necessary

Anyway thanx for it.

I have to agree that right clicking and selecting an option 'Create duplicate book' would be simpler. The option 'Add empty book' suggests that the book will be empty.

I had to search and find this thread to find out how to do this. As an author I have to create different versions for different retailers.
