Bug Description

I think my request might actually be a plugin rather than an enhacement, but either way...

With Kindles you have to add books to the device in batches of 15 or less and space the out a bit so they go into the proper sort files.

Please figure out and make available the ability to highlight a selection of books and have them download to the device in batches and timed to the user preference. Example, 1000 books highlighted, add to device 15 books at a time, 30 second interval between batches. Instead of babysitting my download, this would allow the user to select and let them download automatically at rates the Kindle will accept. This is exceptionally usefule to those who have large collections that must fully be stored in the device. I have literally spent 12 hours downloading and not getting anyting else done because of this hinderance. It is especially helpful if I have to reset my device and be forced to redownload books.

Sorry if this is an impossible or poorly written request.

Thank you!

As far as I know the Kindle does not care at all at what rate you
transfer files to it. If you transfer lots of files, you simply have to
wait longer for the Kindle to finish indexing them, before they show up
on its book browser. And note that the indexer does not function at all
while the Kindle is connected to a computer, so splitting up a job into
parts in caibre will not make any difference, since the Kindle would
need to be ejected after each part, and then re-connected, which calibre
canoot do.

 status wontfix

crap. Well, thanks anyway. I guess I will have to just be a bit more
selective on what I download.

Appreciate all you have done, and look forward to any new developments~
