Bug Description
calibre 2.23 on OS X. 2.22 and earlier did not have this issue.
If the ebook viewer is closed with the Mac's close button, the table of contents state is remembered. If closed with Cmd-q, the table of contents will be hidden on the next open, regardless of whether it was visible or hidden previously.
