Bug Description

I got a new Windows 7 64bit Home Premium computer with an SSD main drive. When I try to install, four windows appear near the end saying that various shortcuts cannot be created.

The install file is named calibre-64bit-2.19.0.msi

The first dialog window stated: "Warning 1909. Could not create Shortcut calibre 64bit - E-book management.lnk. Verify that the destination folder exists and that you can access it."

Since no folder was identified, I was unable to verify anything.

The folders it refers to are start menu folders. Those are warnings,
you should be able to ignore them and if not, click the advanced button
in the installer and tell it to not install start menu shortcuts.

Of course, the proper fix is to figure out why the start menu is messed
up on your computer and repair it, but...

Thank you for your response. I tried the advanced button, but did not see
any reference to start menu short cuts. However, because you pointed me to
the start menu, I discovered that for some reason the folder had a lock
symbol on it. After, getting rid of that, I was able to install calibre
successfully.
