Calibre error getting box with code 00 85 in it

I'm reading a mobi format book ("Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz") on my Kindle after adding it to my Calibre library
and notice that I am getting a small box in the text that contains the code 00 85. This happens ever so often
and the closest thing in English that appears to work might be ... (ellipsis, three periods in a row, dot dot dot).
The little box looks like:

I looked at the mobi file in the Calibre viewer and do not see any ellipsis or anomaly in the text where these symbols appear.
I am unsure as to whether I converted the book from epub to mobi or it was in mobi format to start. I do convert many books
from epub and so the problem might be in the conversion process? But then I think I would see it in the Calibre viewer and I do not.

We don't need to delete it, just move it to the correct place, which I've attempted to do.

That little box indicates your Kindle does not have the fonts needed to render that character. You can work around it by converting to azw3 and embedding the needed fonts, or use the transliterate unicode conversionsion option to replace the character with a simpler ASCII equivalent during conversion.
