Bug Description
In ebook-viewer.exe on Windows (perhaps needed on other platforms)
This omission has been present in all past versions and is present in v2.5
Issue: the toolbar button for Open has a small down arrow that access an alternate Open function. The Print button has a similar alternate companion. Both of these are way, way too small to access reliably by touch. They require a mouse.
Workaround: use TouchMousePointer (a free utility) to simulate a notebook's touchpad with an onscreen replicant. This provides mouse functionality and access to the small downarrows.
Suggested "fix": Add a right-mouse menu to the large Open and Print buttons that produces the same alternate menu that the down arrows do. This would allow a touch-and-hold action (the touch analog to a right-mouse click) to access the alternate functions just as it does for the full screen's right-mouse function for access its context menu.
I haven't reviewed the main application's toolbar buttons, but any similar design with the small down arrows that also omits the right-mouse access to the down arrow's menu would also present issues. Ongoing design should consistently use right-mouse context menus instead of or in addition to small down arrow "sidecar" button-ettes.
