Bug Description
I noticed this in Calibre version 2.2.0. I'm running Windows 7 x64.
Suppose I have links to the beginning of the following chapters in an eBook in my History:
History List 1
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4 <-
That is, I started on Chapter 1 and then clicked the Table of Contents entries for Chapter 2, Chapter 3, and then Chapter 4. I'm now looking at Chapter 4. Suppose I click the Back button three times to return to Chapter 1 and then the Forward button once to go to Chapter 2. Next, I click the Table of Contents entry to navigate to Chapter 3. Now Calibre's History will look like this:
History List 2
Chapter 2
Chapter 3 <-
I can no longer navigate to Chapter 1 using the Back button. Similarly, if I start from History List 1 again, click the Back button until I reach Chapter 1, click the Forward button until I reach Chapter 3, and then click the Table of Contents entry for Chapter 4, Calibre's History will look like this:
History List 3
Chapter 1
Chapter 3
Chapter 4 <-
Chapter 2 is now missing.
This loss of History only happens if you click the Back button until the first link in the History is reached, click the Forward button at least once, and then add new entries to the History. The History entry directly before the Chapter you were viewing before adding new entries to the History will be missing.
Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every Friday.
