Bug Description

Plugged in Android Smart Phone (HTC Desire C) to USB port and set cell to 'Disk Drive' mode, rather than 'Charging only' mode. The device was immediately seen by Windows as external hard drive (G and H). Was able to view cell directory structure and content.
Launched Calibre, but no 'send to device' icon appeared in menu.
Checked preferences/plugins/device interface plugins. Android driver (1.0.0) by Kovid Goyal ok (icon was green).
Checked ignored devices: none

Copied debug output: see below:

Put your device into "Media transfer mode" and calibre will detect it
automatically. In this mode it will appear in windows explorer as a
device, not a disk drive.

Thanks for the quick answer.
Unfortunately does the HTC Desire C not support the media transfer protocol (MTP), so I'm still stuck.

OK, I will add the USB ids of your phone so that you can use it in USB
