Bug Description

[I use Fedora 20 and calibre-1.46.0.]

I’m writing a book using pandoc and ebook-viewer as the ePub viewer.

As the ePub file changes, the only way I have to reload it is to open a new instance.

Wouldn’t it be possible to add a feature in calibre (with keyboard shortcut such as 'r' or 'ctrl+r') that reloads the ePub file opened at the same page?

It would be extremely useful in some contexts, such as the one described above. evince has a similar feature and it is extremely useful.

Many thanks for your help and your excellent work,

Pablo

Many thanks for your fix, Kovid.

There is a small issue: if the user selects that calibre doesn’t remember current page when quitting, calibre reloads the ePub file on page one.

Wouldn’t it be possible that reloading on the same page didn’t rely on this option? Reloading isn’t quitting.

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

I'm afraid I dont have the interest to implement that, patches are
welcome.
