Bug Description

Have read forum guidance and think I have followed correct steps.

iPad is recognized by PC as connected device.

Your guidance in Troubleshoooting device connection problems is to send copy of diagnostic to you.

Using calibre 1.43
Toshiba Satellite Laptop
Windows 8

I have followed all the procedures, but Calibre still won't recognize my iPad Air device. I get the following message:

calibre, version 2.51.0
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

'NoneType' object has no attribute '__getitem__'
