Edit Books - Toolbars

Bug #1346913 reported by Stephen Jenkins on 2014-07-22

Bug Description

(1) The toolbars in the Edit Pane (Undo/Redo, Cut/Copy/Paste, Tools for HTML Editors and Text Formatting Actions can all be repositioned, but the repositioning applies only to the current file selected in the file browser. There should be some way of applying the customisations to all files

(2) The toolbars Undo/Redo and Cut/Copy/Paste are useless to me (I always use the keyboard shortcuts), and they are taking up space which could be better used by the Tools for HTML Editors and Text Formatting Actions toolbars. It should be possible to hide these toolbars altogether

(3) Insert Tag. All the tags are selectable from the toolbar dropdown button. It would be nice to assign one's favourite buttons individually to the toolbar

(4) It would also be nice to assign one's Favourite favourite Special Characters from the Insert Special Characters feature to individual toolbar buttons

This is not worth the effort for me personally. If some one else wants to implement it, I will be happy to supply any needed guidance. If so, re-open the ticket and we can discuss it.

Note that (2) will be in the next release.

I also decided to implement (1)

But, 3 and 4 are not worth it for me.

Thanks for agreeing to fix (1) and (2)

Normally I would deal with (4) in other products by recording a keystroke macro and assigning the macro to the toolbar. Maybe one day you might consider adding a macro recorder?
