Bug Description

Calibre version: 1.43
OS: Windows 7 64bit

The Tolino Shine didn't recognize ebooks sent with calibre after upgrading the device to software version 1.4.5

I found out that the device needs the ebooks in directory "Books" to be recognized.

Changing the string "{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}" to "{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}" to "Books/{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}" in the device configuration fixed the problem. Don't know if this is the prober fix.

Maybe you can include that or the prober fix as default in future versions.

Lokoing at the code, the TOLINO driver does send books to the Books
subdirectory if the device has the USB product id 0x6033

Maybe the firmware upgrade also changed the uSB ids of the device. Run

calibre-debug -d

in a command prompt with the device conected to see its usb ids.

 status incomplete

Changed in calibre:
status: New → Incomplete

please see attached redirect from running "calibre-debug -d"

Couldn't find USB Id myself

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every Friday.

 status fixreleased

Changed in calibre:
status: Incomplete → Fix Released
