Bug Description

Calibre 1.37 running under MacOS X 10.9.3
The OPDS feed includes an acquisition link for *.epub files but not for *.ibooks files. The following code snip its are from: http://grumpy.gcsu.edu:8080/opds/navcatalog/4f6e6577657374

An *.epub entry:

Lonely Planet's Best In Travel 2011

<------------- acquisition link

An *.ibooks entry:

External Video Demo

<------------- acquisition link should be above

The absence of this acquisition link is preventing the development of MacOS X and iOS client software. These apps will browse the OPDS catalog, enable selecting an *.epub, *.ibooks or other eBook and then hand off the download to the iBooks.app on that platform or another app selected by the end user.

No, the suffix used by iBooks Author, the only app capable of producing this type of eBook, is *.ibooks, see:

Seems like an odd requirement since these files can only be created with iBooks Author and that app affixes the *.ibooks suffix by default with no other options. The *.ibooks suffix has other dependancies. On the client side, apps and, in some cases the OS, will be unable to recognize the file and, thus, may not know what to do with it. Readers will suffer as a consequence. It really needs to be *.ibooks.
