When importing Kindle e-books (azw3 format, but also .mobi as I recall), the author names show up as "Last, First", instead of "First Last" with an author sort entry of "Last, First". |
When importing Kindle e-books (azw3 format, but also .mobi as I recall), the author names show up as "Last, First". There is a separate field for a sortable version of the author names.
Calibre should detect that the names are already in the sorted format, and convert them to the display format for this field. |

When importing e-books in which the author names are in the form "Last, First", Calibre should detect this, and save this value to the "Author sort" attribute of its entry for that book. It should also convert the authors' names so that they show up in the format "First Last" in the "Author(s)" column. |
