Calibre Mac crashes on conversion AZW to Epub Non DRM

Calibre for Mac 1.30 froze repeatedly when attempting to convert an AZW File (without DRM) to Epub. After the 10th freeze or so I was unable to reopen Calibre. Input File (azw) is attached to the report; No output file (of course - since there was none :-)).

At what point are you getting the freeze, after the conversion starts? Also is it specific to this book or for all books?

Hello Kovid Goyal,

thank you very much for your ultrafast reply. I just tested the conversion process with other books (I apologize for not doing this before I contacted you. I didn’t think of it. I just retried converting the one book that hadn’t worked). Calibre crashed every time. I ended up uninstalling Calibre completely and reinstalling it. Now it works perfectly well again and I habe converted the e-book in question and another one well.
