Bug Description

When entering a tag, such as via Edit Metadata-->Edit metadata individually or Edit Metadata-->Edit metadata in bulk, is it possible for Calibre to use user input to search for matches within tags as opposed to from beginning to end? This would be a time-saver for users with many multi-level tags which currently require either scrolling through a lengthy dropdown list to find the right tag or quite a bit of typing to sufficiently narrow down the dropdown list so that lengthy scrolling is not needed.

For example, if I want to tag new content with an existing tag "Mystery.Whodunit.Locked Room Mystery" but I have many Mystery.* and Mystery.Whodunit.* tags already in existence, I either have to begin typing "Mystery" and then scroll down through a lengthy dropdown list to find "Mystery.Whodunit.Locked Room Mystery" or I need to go through the trouble of typing "Mystery.Whodunit" to narrow down the dropdown list so I don't have to do a lot of scrolling. It would be much easier if I was able to type "Locked" and get a dropdown list of all the tags containing this string.

Thanks for your time. I am completely addicted to calibre.
