Bug Description

Hello,

One of my friends would like to use curved apostrophes ("L´") like article in french. But impossible to add this kind of apostrophe in the list of the articles without obtaining an error where that does not change anything on the level sorting. The ASCII code is 0180, the hexa code is u00b4. Do you think that it is possible to integrate this kind of article in the list of the words for 'fra'?

Thank you in advance

Regards, Merry Christmas and prosperous new year

AS far as I know, using any unicode character should work fine. Post the
full error message you get.

Hello,

It took me time to receive an answer of my friend. In fact, there is no error message. There is just that it does not occur anything when it uses the “L´”, ASCII code 0180 or the unicode u00b4. When he writes for example “L´homme” in the title, the sorting by title gives him “L´homme” and not “homme,L´” as expected. If he writes “L'homme”, not problem.

Thank you for your assistance

You need to restore the tweak to the default value in preferences->tweaks

Indeed, restore the tweak to default made it possible to obtain the functionality. But, in my personal case, during the test, I met another concern at the time of the closing of the metadata (calibre did not find my way of library!!??) and with the closing of calibre this one told me that the database was locked!!?? I solved the problem by replacing "bibliothèque calibre" by "bibliotheque calibre" without the grave accent thus and all returned in the order. An idea about that ?

Thank you very much

Ptitprince

PS : I will continue to translate the new chains of calibre into French. There are lot this time ;)
