Bug Description

I have discovered that the frontpage I have put in front of the books is not apearing in the reader. It has been working before. The book apears with af blank site, as if you haven't downloaded it.

I'm using calibre 1.8 in Windows 7

Best regards

If you put a largeish image as the first item in a docx file it will get
used as the cover. If you mean something else, then you need to provide
sample files that demonstrate the issue.

Hej Kovid

The frontpage I'm using is a PDF-fil which is converted to a JPG-fil.

It has been working before, but not now.

As I said before, you need to attach sample files.

Here is an example.

That's because your cover image is a CMYK jpeg, which Adobe digital
editions does not support (ADE is what is used on many readers). You
need to convert it to an RGB jpeg and then you will be fine.

Hello Kovid

I have checked the JPG-fil, and for me it seems to be an RGB-fil. I have attached an exampel.

That is a CMYK jpeg. You can convert it to RGB using, for example, the convert program from ImageMagick, like this

convert cmyk.jpg -colorspace sRGB rgb.jpg

In any case the next release of calibre will contain code to automatically detect CMYK jpegs and convert them to RGB when producing EPUB files.

Hello Kovid

Thank you

As I understand I can just after the next release make new conversion of my ebooks? Then the frontpage should work?
