Bug Description
Calibre 1.7 (running from source)
I set #read as first column in book list but at startup calibre scrolls to title column (it hides #read column).
This bug appears from v1.3. I think it has something to do with this commit "Preserve current book when doing searches: c43a3e79698dcde
Edit: The problem only happens when "Automatically apply view" in View Manager plugin is ticked.

Generally speaking, the plugin will probably need to be updated to take
into account calibre's new position preserving behavior.
