Bug Description

Windows XP SP2
Calibre 1.0

When I go to "Library Maintenance > Check Library" I get: "Database integrity check failed"
The error is:
calibre, version 1.0.0
ERROR: Failed: Database integrity check failed, click Show details for details.

Traceback (most recent call last):

UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode byte 0xec in position 27: invalid continuation byte

If I do the same with Calibre 0.9.44 I get:
"Found no errors in your calibre library database. Do
you want calibre to check if the files in your library
match the information in the database?"

With yes I get:

"The files in your library match the information in
the database."

Attaching the database file ...

Thanks for your time.
