error received when I attempted to start server

calibre, version 1.0.0
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>AttributeError</b>:'NoneType' object has no attribute 'strip'

In preferences->sharing over the net make sure username is not blank.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every Friday.
